The actor and director began his acting career at the age of ten and currently plays FBI Special Agent Aaron Hotchner in the CBS television series Criminal Minds. He also co-starred with Jenna Elfman in the highly-rated ABC television series Dharma and Greg.
Gibson has been nominated for two Golden Globes, a Golden Satellite, and three Screen Actors Guild Awards. He lives with his wife, Christine, and their three children in San Antonio, Texas.
Trivia: Gibson shares his birthdate of July 3, 1962, with Tom Cruise. Both actors appeared together in Ron Howard's Far and Away (1992) and Stanley Kubrick's Eyes Wide Shut (1999).
